Police seek witnesses to armed robbery in Caterham |

Detectives from East Surrey CID are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Thomas Cook travel agents in Caterham. The incident occurred around 2.40pm on Monday, 8th July at Thomas Cook on Croydon Road and officers were quickly deployed to the scene. Following the initial investigation detectives are releasing an image of a man they would like to speak with in connection with the armed robbery (see below). Senior Investigating officer Detective Inspector Sean Kelly, said: "The man in this image is wanted in connection with this offence and I would urge members of the public not to approach or challenge him but to contact officers immediately if you can identify him or know his whereabouts." Members of the public are reminded not to put themselves in any danger and are thanked for their patience while officers carry out their investigation. Anyone who has information on the identity of the man seen on CCTV or the robbery is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 or 999 (in an emergency) quoting reference P13203956 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. |
