Pimms and Paella at the Whyteleafe Village Fête
Published: Friday, 26 July 2013 05:46

It may have been Men's Finals Day at Wimbledon, but that did not stop the crowds turning out for the Whyteleafe Village Fête on Sunday, 7th July.

The event was organised by members of the Whyteleafe Village Fête Committee, supported by members of Whyteleafe Free Church who ran a refreshment stall selling teas, coffees and homemade cakes.

With temperatures soaring, there were some very sticky prizes to be won on the St. Catherine's Hospice Chocolate Tombola and the Pimms Tent proved to be very popular!

Youngsters had fun on 'Ride the Hill' and there was live entertainment from talented young local musicians all afternoon.

One of the organisers, Mark Bristow said: "It was a lovely day. The Fête is becoming more well-established now and we look forward to having an even more successful event next year."
