Three teenage boys have been charged with causing danger to other road users after items were thrown from a footbridge over the M25 at Merstham. The incidents occurred earlier this week with two lorries and a coach sustaining damage after they were struck by the items between junctions 7 (M23 interchange) and 8 (Reigate). Detectives from East Surrey CID and officers from the Reigate and Banstead Safer Neighbourhood Team worked together on the investigation which brought the charges against the three today (Saturday, 3 August). The boys, aged 13, 14 and 15 who cannot be named for legal reasons have been bailed to appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court (Redhill) on Wednesday, 21st August. |
