Two dogs have been stolen by thieves overnight on Monday, 4th August from boarding kennels in Edenbridge. One dog is a female Dachshund, black and partially tanned in colour, and between 8-9 years of age. The other dog is a male, black, working Cocker Spaniel. The dogs were stolen sometime overnight between 4th August and 5th August from the premises in Dwelly Lane. The dogs were taken from kennels inside a building at the site. Both dogs are microchipped. Sergeant Mike Simmonds, Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "The Dachshund has been described has having a high pitched bark and loving towards humans but wary towards other dogs. She is apparently very much a 'one person' dog and her owner is extremely distressed. The family are offering a reward for her safe return. "We are appealing to these thieves to bring the dogs back so they can be reunited with their owners. We also urge anyone who may have been offered either of these dogs for sale or anyone with any other information, to contact Surrey Police straightaway." The reward offered in relation to the safe return of the Dachshund will be given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft. If you can help, please contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting crime reference TD/13/3683 or, if you prefer not to leave your name, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. |
