Local taxi firm, Catax, would like to reassure their customers that they are trading as usual following the closure of their Caterham office.

Trevor Nott, one of the owners of Catax, said: "We had to close the Caterham office due to anticipated health and safety problems related to the new Churchill Retirement Homes development being built next door. The other day they decommissioned the gas and the whole office was shaking!

"The closure of the office has not affected our service at all because we can continue to operate from our office next to Upper Warlingham station."
