In addition, 11 girls gained places at the top London universities of UCL, LSE and Imperial College, with six heading to Exeter and four to Bristol. Particularly outstanding results were achieved in Art with no fewer than eight A* grades and one A grade awarded to the nine candidates who sat the examination. In Mathematics, 21 girls attained an A* or A grade out of 27 candidates. Headmistress, Jayne Triffitt, said: "I am very proud of the Upper Sixth this year. They have worked extremely hard to achieve these results in a fabulous range of subjects. They have received unstinting support from a talented and dedicated team of teachers. In addition to their academic work, they manage a very busy extra-curricular schedule in this vibrant and dynamic boarding school." |
