On Saturday 5th October in Church Walk Shopping Centre, locals gathered to attend the cycle security marking event. As a result, upwards of 50 cycles were marked and recorded onto the national property data base 'Immobilise' for a permanent record. The Crime Reduction Advisor for Tandridge, Mark Howells said: "Security marking your cycle and registering them onto the National property data base, 'Immobilise' will reduce the risk of crime and should your cycle be stolen and recovered it can be identified and returned". The police would like to thank Church Walk Shopping Centre and the local cycle shop 'Cycle and Sport' for their support of the event. |
