Caterham welcomes new Salvation Army Envoy, Don Hall.
Published: Thursday, 07 November 2013 01:04

The Salvation Army in Caterham is up and running again with the arrival of new Salvation Army Envoy, Don Hall. Don has been spending time meeting members of the local community and celebrating the harvest festival with children from Hillcroft Primary School.

Don said: "I have met some really lovely people in Caterham. My plans are to build the Salvation Army Church up again and serve the needy." One of the challenges Don faces is finding premises for an office which could double up as a Salvation Army dropin centre. If you can help Don to locate premises for an office and drop-in centre please e-mail him at don.hall@salvation. org.uk

As the Salvation Army no longer has a Citadel in Caterham, the church holds its services at Oakhall Church in Francis Road, Caterham-onthe- Hill. On Wednesday 18th December, local residents will have the opportunity to meet Don at the Carols by Candlelight service starting at 7.30pm, when the band from the Salvation Army College will be performing.
