Get ready for the big Christmas Lights Switch-On! |

Caterham is getting ready to light up for Christmas at the end of November, with lots of activities planned for all the family to enjoy. Friday 29th November The Christmas lights in Church Walk will be switched on at 6pm on Friday 29th November with entertainment taking place between 3pm and 7pm. Father Christmas and his helpers will be in attendance of course and there will be free face painting, community stalls and Christmas carols to get everyone into the festive spirit. The switching on ceremony will be preceded by the traditional Lantern Parade from the Asprey Fountain in The Square, leaving at 5.45pm. There will be free parking in the Morrison's car park from 3pm. Saturday 30th November Caterham Valley Parish Council will be switching on the Christmas lights in Croydon Road and Godstone Road on Saturday 30th November at 4.30pm outside Subway at 49 Croydon Road. From 3pm there will be face painting, music from Ridge Radio and Christmas carols. There will also be a shop window competition for the children and entry forms can be picked up in Subway. Warlingham Christmas Lights The switching on of the Christmas lights in Warlingham takes place on Saturday 16th November with the festivities starting at 3.30pm. For more information see page 13. There is a good selection of shops on our doorstep selling a great range of gifts. Parking is free and our local shop-keepers offer an excellent, frieendly service.
