Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision in Warlingham |

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Warlingham yesterday morning, Sunday, 5th January.
Officers were called to Old Farleigh Road close to its junction with Farleigh Court Road at around 8.05am following reports that a Honda motorcycle had been in collision with a silver Smart car. A further collision then took place at the scene between two other vehicles. Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was declared dead at the scene. Two other people, a woman and a man, were also injured and taken to East Surrey Hospital. The driver of the Smart car, a woman in her 50s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs and taken into custody. The road was closed while an investigation was carried out. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or saw the events leading up to it, to come forward.
