Uniformed groups across the district were proudly celebrating St. George's Day last weekend. Around 700 children wore their scout or guide uniform to school on April 23rd, a tradition started in Caterham six years ago. Sunday 25th April saw the St. George's Day parade take place in Caterham Valley from Beechwood Road to Timber Hill Recreation Ground where the youngsters assembled for a service led by Revd. David Marshall-Jones (see right).
