The Bourne Society Blue Plaque.

On Saturday 22nd February, members of the Bourne Society will be unveiling a blue plaque at 4 High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill (The Raj Tandoori) to mark the location of the former Soldiers' Home which operated as a recreational facility for soldiers from 1898-c1950.

The ceremony will take place at 11.15 for 11.30am and members of the Bourne Society will be happy to answer questions about the history of the building. An article about the event and the background of the Soldiers Home will be published in the March edition of The Caterham and District Independent.
