Pair charged with Caterham armed robbery |

A man and a woman have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a travel agent in Caterham which featured on the BBC show Crimewatch. Officers were called to the travel agents at around 2.40pm on Monday, 8th July following the robbery at the store on Croydon Road. In July detectives appealed on the show for information on the incident and at the end of 2013 a man in his 50s as arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. David Bentley, 54, of Court Road, Orpington, Kent and Justyna Pietrzak, 28, of Palmer Avenue, Gravesend, Kent have both been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to commit an offence. Bentley has been remanded in custody and Pietrzak has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, 17th March. |
