Oxted and District Age Concern have had a boost to their Minibus Fund, thanks to a generous donation of £500 by Tandridge Community Fund (TCF). Chairman of TCF, Mike Moss MBE, presented the cheque to representatives of the charity in Oxted recently. On receiving the cheque, Oxted and District Age Concern Treasurer, Marcus Brockes, said: "We are very grateful to Tandridge Community Fund for this cheque which will go into our Fund to pay for the service and maintenance of our minibus. It is essential we keep our minibus in tip-top condition because it is so well-used, but in a couple of years' time we hope to be able to get another second-hand bus." Barbara Harling, Committee member, added: "We have a great team of drivers who ferry the elderly people around and help to provide a lifeline for them. We are very grateful to theml, as they are all volunteers".
