The 9th Caterham (St. Mary's) Brownie Pack. On Tuesday 11th March the 9th Caterham (St. Mary's) Brownie Pack held a fundraising tea party at St. Mary's Church to raise money for the British Lung Foundation. The tea party was organised as part of the 100 year anniversary celebrations that the Brownies are involved in this year.

Brownie Leader, Claire Wilson, said: "We chose the BLF as a charity to raise money for as I lost my mum last year to a lung condition aged just 66 and they were very supportive to her and also to me and my sister during her illness and subsequent death. I decided to raise money for the charity as they do not have shops that donations can be made to, only by fundraising events like our tea party. We have raised over £70 for the charity which I am so pleased about!" The brownies made over 150 cakes and sold every one of them to friends and family who went along to the meeting. Some of the girls made tea and coffee and some were in charge of collecting money. For more information about the British Lung Foundation visit www.blf.org.uk
