'Study for Joy' by Maria Masullo Tandridge Trust is pleased to announce a whole new dimension to their arts programme for adults this year. From the end of April, the Trust will offer an exciting new, evening, contemporary art course for adults, starting on Wednesday 30th April between 6-7.30pm at Tandridge Leisure Centre in Oxted. To launch this there will be a, one off, Sunday morning workshop session, 'Contemporary Art Making - a therapeutic process', at the same venue, on Sunday 27th April, from 10am-1pm, where interested parties can come along and get a taste of the course, led by the course tutor artist Maria Masullo. This special workshop will focus on the therapeutic potential of the creative process. Through a series of guided meditations and painting techniques, participants are invited to identify what they would like to clear and release from their life. Within a space of mutual support and loving kindness, they will then explore and release some of those emotional knots and stagnated energy that has been holding them back from accessing their beautiful, true, selves, through working creatively. Multi-media artist and holistic therapist Maria Masullo, has developed her practice over many years. Colour is a leading aspect of her work and the way she experiments with it is intuitive, imaginative, free, and therapeutic: a healing practice. With an academic background in Education and Humanities, Maria has been a self taught artist for the last 16 years, undertaking her Foundation in Art and Design, at the Mary Ward Centre, in 2012. She has been teaching art within education and charity settings for the last 5 years and her work has been exhibited and published in London, has won a few online competitions and it is currently on sale on Saatchi online gallery. Through a fine blend of many subjects, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, sound, movement, healing, yoga, meditation and other shamanic and eastern practices. She aims to help people to let go of what holds them back from accessing their full potential, in order to be able to embrace acceptance and self-love, and finally, enjoy the beauty of their own divinity. Booking is essential for both the course and the workshop, as spaces are strictly limited. Call 01883 716717 or call into Tandridge Leisure Centre, in Hoskins Road, Oxted, to book your place.
