The Old Surrey Hounds pub in Caterham. A man in his 20s has been arrested following an assault in Caterham at the weekend. At around 11.50pm on Saturday, 29th March, officers were called to the junction of Croydon Road and Crescent Road after a man suffered a serious head injury outside the Old Surrey Hounds Pub as he walked home with his wife and two children. The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to East Surrey Hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service where he remains in a stable condition. The man, who was arrested on suspicion of assault (GBH) on Monday, 31st March, has been released on police bail until Tuesday, 29th April while the investigation continues.
