CR3 Forum members, Jenny Gaffney and Ted Howard speak to a visitor to the Public Consultation.
On Saturday 26th of April a Public Consultation was held at the Community Centre in Caterham-on-the-Hill to enable residents to find out more about the proposals for a Neighbourhood Plan being put together by members of the CR3 Forum. Areas covered were housing, business and employment, health and education, transport, urban and rural design and heritage, utilities and leisure and community matters. Members of the various working groups were on hand to explain the information being presented. Visitors were invited to complete questionnaires give comments on what was on display and also make suggestions in respect of these seven areas and the general aims of the Plan. Steering Group Chairman, Geoff Duck said: “Clearly visitors are interested in the Plan. The work of the CR3 Forum at present is to get the reports completed and the Planning Policies that are to form the basis of the six week consultation finished for inspection”. This event followed similar ones in Whyteleafe and Chaldon and a futher one will take place in Caterham Valley on Saturday 21st June. There will also be a stall at the Caterham Festival Street Party on Sunday 1st June.
