Hello, and welcome to the 6th award winning Caterham Festival.
Published: Tuesday, 10 June 2014 00:15

The Festival is now truly underway and last week started with the fantastic DeFest that many of you enjoyed. The Caterham beach is proving to be extremely popular with the children, big and small. Don’t forget to take photos of your sandcastle and give them to the sports Centre. Have you got a stick of Caterham rock yet?

Each year the Festival gets bigger and better and this year we offer you over 100 events so there should be something for everyone. More people are joining the Festival committee each year bringing new ideas and suggestions and I take this opportunity to publicly thank the committee members, local businesses, supporters and everyone who assists us in so many different ways.

The Street Party on Sunday 1st June will have fun and games for everyone in Caterham High Street. Two stages, giant games and some Market Stalls. Look out for Maynard Flip Flap, the man in the box and you can come dressed for the foam party at 5pm.

Next Saturday, 7th June There will be the first air show on Westway Common featuring large scale model aeroplanes and on the Sunday it is the Waller Pain Cycle ride, the International Food Festival and the Great Caterham Bake Off.

Don’t forget the other favourites like the Carnival, Open Caterham and the archaeological dig. Something I am particularly looking forward to are the Harp Lessons by Pilgrim Harps. You can find full details of these events inside this supplement or on our web site www.caterhamfestival. org

Thank you for supporting the Festival and thank you for helping make Caterham a really great and fun place to live in.
