Lions point the way at the London to Brighton Bike ride
Published: Wednesday, 18 June 2014 19:10

Members of Caterham, Oxted & Godstone Lions (COGS) helped direct cyclists and traffic during a fundraising bike ride on Sunday 15th June.

The COGS marshals were on station at Battlebridge Lane, Merstham by 6am for the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton Bike Ride. The team learned a few new words from frustrated drivers who had to divert and in true Lions style, kept upbeat throughout the day.

David Annenberg of South Godstone kept his fellow Lions energised by dishing out his legendary sweet coffee and likewise encouraged riders with high-fives along their way.

After an enjoyable but tiring eight-hour stint, COGS shed their Hi Vis tabards to spend the rest of Father’s Day with their families.
