Spring pops up in Caterham!
Published: Tuesday, 07 April 2015 20:11

Spring has popped up at Church Walk Shopping Centre in Caterham. It heralds the Caterham & District Horticultural Society Spring Show being held on Saturday 18th April at Hillcroft School, Chaldon Rd, Caterham. The Show will open to the public from 2.30pm, with presentation of cups at 4.30pm. The entrance fee is only 50 pence. The ‘pop-up’ display captures the spirit of a horticultural show in a vacant shop unit in the centre. It will be in the centre until Sunday 19th  April.

Church Walk Shopping Centre Manager, Shelley Filippi said: “Church Walk Shopping Centre was treated to a splash of colour with the installation of a fantastic Spring Show window by the Caterham & District Horticultural Society.  This is a lovely project and we hope that members of the public enjoy the forthcoming show; we look forward to working with them and other community groups in the future.”

Highlights in the 44 show categories on 18th April look set to include floral arrangements of ‘Tumbling Tulips’. Children will exhibit miniature gardens. Judges will also sample jam Swiss rolls homemade by hopeful entrants.
