Marie Curie Cancer Care's Surrey Fundraising Office would like to say a big thank you to all those who took part in the annual Happy Valley Walk The event took place on Sunday September 12 and 220 people walked to remember a loved one, or simply enjoy the lovely Surrey countryside. The participants strolled through the quiet country lanes and across the farm tracks in the Coulsdon area and were joined by family, friends and even their four legged companions. Ros Hooper, Surrey Fundraising Manager said "Many people have commented that it was a perfect day and they were delighted to raise funds for such a worthy cause. We are pleased to announce that the event so far has raised in excess of ¡ê5,000 with more money still coming in. Well done to all the participants and thank you for making such a fantastic effort. Don't forget to sign up for next year!!!! All funds raised will make a real difference to the lives of terminally ill patients in the area".
