On Friday 24th September, pensioners at Asprey Court, Stafford Road, Caterham, organised an event for 'The Big Coffee Morning' fundraising initiative in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Resident Mike who is chairman of the 'Tandridge Art Society' exhibited his paintings and other attractions included a White Elephant stall, a bottle stall, 'Guess the weight of the cake', a quiz and sales of greeting cards of Mike's paintings. This is the first time the residents have organised an event of this nature and they are very proud to have made over £850 for the charity.
