Crystal Palace FC Goalkeeper, Julian Speroni, will be busy ringing up purchases, talking to customers and sorting through donations at the Marie Curie Cancer Care Shop in Church Walk, Caterham on Thursday 28th October. The Eagles goalie is lending his support to the charity to try and encourage local people to donate just a few hours of their time each week by volunteering at the shop and signing autographs. So get along to the shop in Church Walk at 2pm to meet the sporting legend and the dedicated shop team. Marie Curie Cancer Care provides free home nursing care for people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. There are currently 16 Marie Curie Nurses working across Surrey, making it possible for hundreds of terminally ill people to live their last days at home, surrounded and supported by their loved ones. The Marie Curie Cancer Care Shop in Caterham stocks a wide range of high quality donated goods at great value prices with something to suit everyone. Donations of clothing, books and bric-a-brac are always welcome. For more information on volunteering or for an application form, drop by the shop or call the Marie Curie Cancer Care Shop Manager, Pauline Percival , on 01883 345335. |
