The 9th Caterham Guides were the proud winners in the 'Group' category of the Round Table 'Build a Guy' competition this year, winning a cheque for £250 to boost their funds.

The competition attracted 15 individual entries and three group entries, with a total of £410 in prize money being awarded to the winners and runners up. The winners of the individual entries were Dillon and his sister Megan.

The Firework Display held at the Dene Field in Caterhamon- the-Hill was an amazing success, raising £8,000 for charity, and the Round Table would like to thank the Rotary Clubs and 41 Club who helped to make the event run so smoothly.

Round Table member, Andrew Browne, said: "We had the most amazing bonfire and the feedback we have received is that it was the best display ever! We also had a record number of people taking part in the torchlight procession."
