The Whyteleafe Business Association has published its first newsletter, which is being delivered to all the homes and businesses in Whyteleafe. The association was set up in the spring to raise the profile of Whyteleafe and its businesses and enable networking amongst its members. The newsletter states that the aims of the association are to smarten the 'look' of the village; act as 'one voice' to local authority for matters concerning businesses; develop a strong website and newsletter for members to 'advertise' themselves and maintain good liaison with the police on behalf of its members. The newsletter features an article about the history of the village, and messages from those involved with the association including the Chairman, Derek Vivian and Councillor Sakina Bradbury. The association, with the help of the Parish Council is delighted to be bringing to the village its first illuminated Christmas tree and are inviting the local community to see the switching on of the tree lights on Wednesday 8th December. Santa will be in attendance, in the car park of the Whyteleafe Tavern facing the roundabout, bringing mulled wine, mince pies and sweets and treats. He will also be bringing some snow with him so wrap up warm! |
