Home owner foils burglary attempt

On 5pm on Saturday, 14th August, a burglar climbed through a window of a house in Underwood Road, Caterham Valley but fled when confronted by the owner of the house who was at home. The burglar was described as being a white male aged in his mid-twenties with average-length dark hair and a pale complexion. He was wearing a navy blue shirt with white writing on and spoke with a Northern accent. Please call Caterham Police Station on 0845 125 2222 if you see anyone matching this description behaving suspiciously.
